Some scary words from John Kerry

While Kerry made a reasonable point about Trump's wall, he then seemed to dismiss a country like America as being something of the past. Does this include our constitution, our values on matters such as equality and free speech? And was Kerry buying into one of the most dangerous current trends, the corporate replacement of the nation state through weapons like NAFTA and TPP? Was Kerry  implying that our country as a place, a culture and a democratic system is passe? Are he and other major figures quietly drifting toward allegiance to a world run by mega-corporations rather than by nations? If so, it helps to explain why the establishment has accepted the moral treason of Citizens United as well as TPP.

Secretary of State John Kerry took a shot at Donald Trump during his Friday commencement speech at Northeastern University, by saying no wall is big enough to keep dangerous terrorists out of the United States.

Kerry also seemed to dismiss the importance of national borders, and said technology has reshaped the world into one that the U.S. must engage at the risk of being left behind. He said Trump and others who want to look inward are making a mistake, even in the face of rising tension and violence in the world.

"For some people, that is all they need simply to climb under the sheets, close their eyes and push the world away," Kerry said. "And shockingly, we even see this attitude from some who think they ought to be entrusted with the job of managing international affairs."

"The future demands from us something more than a nostalgia for some rose-tinted version of the past that did not really exist in any case," he said. "You're about to graduate into a complex and borderless world."

It's basically global trans-nationalism vs local self-determination. It is an extension of politics that existed since time began: Empire vs colonies.

Only now it is on a global scale and there is no hiding from the conflict behind factions. Everything is consolidating.

I don't know which is worse, stumblebums like this lip licking, smacking old fart kerry or the people that support them. This guy has licked the hind end of every democract since John Kenned in hopes of getting the big prized. Why can't he be satisfied with his reward. He jumped on billionaire Teresa Heniz before her dead husbands corpse was cold. Why can't he be satisfied? He's just got to keep dabbling in things he has no training nor intelligence for. More of the same faux american aristocracy that just can't accept they are despised by real Americans.
