Clinton promises more support to apartheid Israel

Intercept - Former President Bill Clinton on Monday met in secret (no press allowed) with roughly 100 leaders of South Florida’s Jewish community and, as The Times of Israel reports, “he vowed that, if elected, Hillary Clinton would make it one of her top priorities to strengthen the US-Israel alliance.” He also “stressed the close bond that he and his wife have with the State of Israel.”

It may be tempting to dismiss this as standard, vapid Clintonian politicking: adeptly telling everyone what they want to hear and making them believe it. After all, is it even physically possible to “strengthen the US-Israel alliance” beyond what it already entails: billions of dollars in American taxpayer money transferred every year, sophisticated weapons fed to them as they bomb their defenseless neighbors, blindly loyal diplomatic support and protection for everything they do?

But Bill Clinton’s vow of even greater support for Israel is completely consistent with what Hillary Clinton herself has been telling American-Jewish audiences for months. In November, she published an Op-Ed in The Forward in which she vowed to strengthen relations not only with Israel but also with its extremist Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Don't know why this is news. People have been discussing the I-P conflict for years and virtually all Americans have long since concluded that Israel is in the right and the Palestinians are in the wrong. There may be a small group of anti-semites who are still obsessed with it but the rest of us have moved on. Whoever the next president is rest assured they will support Israel. The discussion should be on whether or not they support the Saudi royal family; they're the source of the problems in the mideast, not the Jews, who are an island of civilization and sanity in a sea of madness.

Any surprises, here?
A lot of prominent US/Israeli dual nationals reside in Florida, individuals of obscene wealth with close ties to Bebe and the Likud Party.
What was that admonition from Washington regarding foreign entanglement?
It should be pointed out that Hils isn't the only one courting these sheckles, Cruz and Rubio having been pandering the same purses for some time---not to worry, there's more than plenty around. Next stop, WW III?

If there was no press allowed, was the Times of Israel given a press release or is this hearsay.
