Undernews is the online report of the Progressive Review. Since 1964 the news while there's still time to do something about it.
Do phone surveys call cell phones or only land lines? Land lines are more likely to get older people who were brought up to be almost in awe of the doctor's profession. That awe creates trust, when it might be better to be wary.My health was ruined by a series of doctors I had in childhood through early 20s. In my mid 20s I started seeing naturopaths, chiropractors and acupuncturists. My health has greatly improved since I started seeing alternative healthcare providers. I now treat conventional MDs with extreme caution. I almost feel sorry for my current healthcare plan doctor, but she always trys to put me on medications I don't need. The way she goes about it and the way she says things, sounds like she is under presssure to be sure each paitent has one or more daily meds to take. I don't need anything like that, so I refuse, and I can see her frustration when I do. If I trust her at all, it is that I trust her to make recomendations that will be profitable for her clinic and healthcare organization. Unfortunately because of my healthplan, my provider choice is quite limited and she was the least awful of the lot.
