Well, that didn't work

Medialite - Retail giant Walmart reported that it had its best Black Friday ever, with this year’s crowds topping the response they received last year, particularly with deals on electronics.

The company’s plans consisted of three events — at 8 p.m., 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. — during the high-traffic time period, from 8 p.m. until midnight, “Walmart processed nearly 10 million register transactions and almost 5,000 items per second.”

“I’m so proud of what our more than 1.3 million associates have done to prepare and execute our Black Friday plans, giving our customers a great start to their Christmas shopping season,” said Bill Simon, Walmart U.S. president and chief executive officer. “The work of our associates is even more impressive when you consider they served approximately 22 million customers on Thursday.”

Protests by Walmart workers in several states across the country seem to have had little effect on the company’s success on the big shopping day.

The only way you can stop Wal-Mart is through a federal investigation of their cruddy labor activities.

If you want a federal investigation, you'd better start voting Green. Electing Democrats who are Walmart board members like Hillary ain't gonna do it.

From an organizer's point of view, you always start small, and these Walmart actions seemed to have good energy and potential. Its sorry to see sites like this undermining the effort. But then again, this site just spent the last few months telling everyone to vote Walmart's friends (Democrats) into office.
