Over half of Republicans think humans were created 10,000 years ago

Greg Mitchell - If you wonder what progressives (in politics and in reasoning) are up against in the U.S. today, here's a recent poll from Gallup that only 47% of Americans believe in evolution.  Some 46% believe in "creationism." And of the 47% backing evolution, 32% believe that God guided it.

They note that the number of those believing in creationism has increased 2% over the past 30 years...58% of Republicans agree with the statement that humans created within the past 10,000 years.

And sadly some of those very same Republicans are sitting on the U.S. House Committee on Science, Space and Technology---what are we to make of that?

The Caucasians in that sample invalidate the result because of their having a range of 1-4% Neanderthal genes.
