Ever vigilant for forthcoming news, your editor scoped out David Cameron's pub a couple of years before the prime minister left his eight year old daughter there by mistake. The owner of the pub told us that "DC" had been in there recently and asked him whether he knew the difference between G8 and G20. "Of course," replied the owner. "12."
