Public supports Obama's immigration plan

Political Wire - A new Bloomberg poll finds 64% of Americans agree with President Obama's decision to end the deportations of some illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, while 30% say they disagreed. Independents backed the decision by better than a two-to-one margin.

The ones who agree either profit from the availability of cheap labor, or have drunk the koolaid that implicitly says those migrants who can sneak into the US on foot are more worthy than the poor bastards in Africa, Asia, Oceania, and even Europe who can neither afford the cost of transportation nor, of course, come overland.

There is no worthy reason to privilege those who can sneak in on foot.

If accepting a potentially unlimited number of economic migrants' children is somehow a Good Thing, then we have no reason not to send ships and aircraft to fetch those would-be migrants who have no other way to get here.

We could doubtless triple our population in hardly any time at all.
